Enigma Dance Factory has been based in Winnipeg since 2004. With extensive experience teaching and performing locally, nationally and abroad and a diverse international experience, EDF provides the authentic rhythms and movements, such as Salsa from Cuba, Cumbia from Colombia and Samba from Brasil! A love for playing with the fusion of rhythms in Latin dance, Bollywood, hip-hop and ballroom, creates the unique style of the one and only Enigma Dance Factory!
EDF has been crafting custom choreography for weddings, socials, debuts and events for over 10 years. EDF has established signature dance-fitness programs including Cardio Latin Dance and DANCEFIT® before Zumba was a hit. Consequently, EDF was the first to bring Zumba to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2008. Enigma Dance Factory also produced the first international Fusion Dance Festival 2010, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. EDF is a proud supporter and founder of the Winnipeg Dance Cooperative Inc, a collective of dance enthusiasts and instructors, making dance accessible to all. In 2014, EDF was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for supporting the Arts by the Colombian Association of Winnipeg.
EDF has trained with prestigious dancers from World Salsa Champions to music video choreographers in the Bollywood Movie Industry. Most recently, EDF choreographed the nominated music video for "Forro No Canada" by Marco Castillo, one of six finalists, in the prestigious Vina del Mar Festival in Chile in 2015! Every year, the EDF Bollywood Dance Pak brings a new show to town!
Latin Dance specialties include Salsa, Brazilian Samba, Argentine Tango, Zouk, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Reggaeton & more. Other dance genres offered are Ballroom, Bollywood, Swing, and Night Club dances. EDF also offers health and fitness programs, including YOGAFIT® and DANCEFIT®.
EDF is available for private lessons, demonstrations, performances in couples or the performance teams, choreography, coaching, and special events among the regular classes that are offered weekly.
